Final day of my first class at Sadie Valerie atelier. Had a wonderful time. Really enjoyed meeting a couple other students there and talking with our instructor James Edmonds. I learned a lot and look forward to taking another class.

Sketch of the day 11

Another class at the atelier, progress on the drawing has moved into the rendering phase. I love this meditative component, my biggest challenge at this point is slowing down and being methodical as my commercial work has tended me toward speed and trying to resolve all areas of an image a once . So fun!!!

sketch a day 4 / Atelier Week 3

So today is week 3 of my 6 week Saturday class at Sadie Valeri Atelier in San Francisco. I am having a wonderful time there. I have always wanted to work on my anatomy and rendering ability and accuracy. There is nothing better than have 6 - 3 hour long sessions of the same pose so you can really match what your eye is seeing. This will have to count as my sketch of the day as well.
