Sketch a day 17

Well I dis two posts Thursday , but nothing Friday so I will make up another by this weekend. Having a blast with my son and was driving and visiting a museum and relatives all day yesterday. Today I will post figure drawing week 5. Only one week left!

taking it a bit further tonight. composition is still looking a bit to right handed with all the lines pointing up and to the right. going to to attempt to fix it next.

Started a little thumbnail and started working it up in some loose line work for a painting when time permits.

almost 2 weeks in and this has been harder than I thought to keep a daily sketch. Some have turned into little more than doodles, others a bit more. Either way it feels good to make it a priority in addition to the many other things that have to happen each day with work and home life.

This one is really more of a mental note to record an idea I had for later. Celebrated Arthurs 3rd birthday today, really fun and full day.

Sketch of the day 11

Another class at the atelier, progress on the drawing has moved into the rendering phase. I love this meditative component, my biggest challenge at this point is slowing down and being methodical as my commercial work has tended me toward speed and trying to resolve all areas of an image a once . So fun!!!
